Broker's Comments
In the same ownership of a professional boat builder for the last 11 years, this Swedish designed and built classic double ended yacht is a joy to behold. Reconfigured to maximize the internal space and modernized with a recent aluminum mast and Yanmar 1GM10 engine, The Spidsgater S38 makes for an ideal cruiser along estuaries and coastal waters. Her wood carvel construction has been well maintained and a recent survey gives assurance that she has structural integrity. She does have some modern features including solar trickle charging of the battery, navigation equipment and safety equipment to ensure a comfortable passage but in the main she is very reminiscent of her time.
This is a quality boat that would be worthy of a viewing. She is not of the modern GRP era so would suit somebody with an understanding of her age and empathy to her construction.
