This is an original and correct boat.
60 H.P. 4 cylinder – 2003 rehab – less than 150 hrs, 6 volt w/8 volt battery, motor and reverse gear rebuilt, new tack cable, gas tank resealed, new battery cables, new correct wiring with correct staples, gauges reworked, side planking and decks are all original ribbon mahogany – soaked in CPES, inner and outer bottom planks, ribs and chines are all new – soaked in CPES, 3M-5200 bottom,
cedar interior dash, seat backs and ceiling boards, dog house–2 layers laminated with West System epoxy–you can sit or jump off it, all silicone bronze fasteners, ladder off transom, 2nd custom front seat (lowered for a larger adult), 2nd set of seat cushions, custom 5 bunk trailer included. 909 prop 11”X11”.
The 16' SPORTSMAN was not reintroduced until late 1947 as a 1948 model and again was based on the pre-war model. A 16' Deluxe Utility was available during 1941 and 1942 based on earlier versions dating back to 1933. The littlest SPORTSMAN was only available with the “B” engine and 186 were built for 1948-1949 from “Chris-Craft By The Numbers Post-War Utilities”
